Where are you from? I’m from Merrimack, NH- a small New England town with not a lot to do. It was exciting when Walmart opened, if that tells you anything. I grew up skiing in VT & going to the beach in Maine. I still love being out in nature.
What do you do for work? I’m a clinical psychologist. I opened up my own practice a few years ago & I work from home. I provide therapy virtually. Usually by the end of the day, I’m all talked out, so if I’m quiet in the gym, that’s why :)
What’s your favorite potato? Warm, crispy tater tots on a Friday night can definitely hit the spot!
What show or series are you currently bingeing? I’ve been making my way through Shameless. It has 11 seasons. Needless to say, it’s been taking a while.
What’s the most random thing in your fridge or pantry right now? Gerber butternut squash baby food. It works well in a chickpea & potato stew I make.
If you could do a partner WOD with anyone famous – who would it be? Simone Biles. She would kick my butt no doubt, but it would be cool to see her do the gymnastics moves.
How did you end up at CrossFit 2 Street? I have always been a runner, but I decided to attend group classes at Sweat for a change of pace. I did that for a year, but after my favorite trainer left who really pushed me, I started looking at CrossFit gyms. I checked out a few, but really liked the atmosphere at CrossFit 2 St. Everyone was really friendly & the workouts were crazy hard (in a good way!).
Advice for new CrossFit / BootCamp athletes... If the workouts are intimidating or you have an injury, keep coming to the gym. The coaches are great with scaling workouts to your fitness level or injury status. Every coach I've talk to has been supportive & super accommodating.
What’s your proudest 2St accomplishment Getting my strength & endurance back after I broke my wrist. I'm not 100% yet, but it feels great to keep getting closer to where I was before.
